National Czech & Slovak Museum & Library (NCSML)

As a Marketing Content Specialist for the NCSML, I serve multiple roles to promote unique Czech, Slovak, and American stories through innovative experiences and active engagement. Within the Museum, I support promotion of tourism, exhibits, the Museum Store, events, programs, and fundraising efforts. I create both print and digital designs for a variety of mediums, maintain content updates in WordPress for NCSML.org, and manage external freelance, advertising, and print vendors. I also oversee and curate content for our Facebook, Instagram, X, formally Twitter, and LinkedIn social media channels.

A Century of Robots NCSML Exhibition

Working with students from both Iowa BIG and Metro Steam Academy, Metro Steam Academy drew preliminary sketches from which Iowa BIG students created a digital concept on a branding project for the original NCSML exhibition. From these ideas, I developed the final logo and further marketing materials for the exhibit that celebrated the 100 year anniversary of Czech playwright, novelist, and journalist Karel Čapek introducing the word robot. A Slavonic word deriving from “robota”, which means servitude, forced labor, or drudgery, robotics has become an all-important fixture in our lives.

Below are a few examples of advertisements I created to stand out amongst pages of listings.
